Each One Teach One is an initiative and concept that aims to provide potential trainers and facilitators with the necessary skills and practice to make them competent. Outlearning does not believe in handouts and prefers to develop skills and build people; we have a number of strategic alliances with other likeminded corporations that help us build structures. These trainers will, under the guidance of a mentor and coach, be deployed in a number of training areas as ‘Cadet Trainers’ (in both community and business projects). The ultimate goal is to create a pool of qualified freelance trainers and facilitators to meet the ever-increasing need for training and development in South Africa. In doing so, the initiative hopes to increase the pool of black trainers and facilitators for business training and to empower communities with skills to make them self-sufficient and end the cycle of unemployment and poverty in this country.
