
In light of the beneficiary targets and entrance not being met the first time round, the Thabo Mbeki Development Trust for Disabled People (TMDT) and the Energy Seta (ESETA) have lowered the entry level ONCE AGAIN and have embarked on a major recruitment drive offering skills training to people with disabilities, a SECOND opportunity to apply for entry into a Pre-Learnership Programme on NQF Level 1.
Requirements for Phase 1:
- Applicants must have a disability and be able to provide proof
- Applicants must have at least a grade 9 qualification (previously known as Std 7) with maths and science or equivalent.
- Applicants must be able to read and write in English
- Applicants must not have participated in a learnership before
This being a PILOT project the following Special requirements also need to be considered:
- Applicants must reside in Gauteng only and be unemployed
- Applicants must be a South African citizen and present proof of identification
- Applicants must be able to arrange own transport
- Applicants must agree undergo a process of assessment before selection
- Reasonable accommodation needs will be assessed
- Preference will be determined via demographics
